Due to the upcoming retirement of a long standing Partner this firm, part of a top 30 National Accountancy Group is seeking to recruit an ambitious, Qualified Accountant who has a minimum of 3 years PQE within a practice environment.
Being part of the senior management team, you will be actively involved in the commercial and strategic decisions of the company. In addition you will have your own lucrative and diverse client base, and will oversee an experienced and enthusiastic team of Semi-Seniors and Trainees.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Manage an impressive and diverse client portfolio, including large corporates, SMEs and HNWIs.
· Wide range of clients covering an exciting array of industries and entities.
· Provide a range of business advisory and full-service accountancy services to a client portfolio.
· Assist in the strategic planning and delivery of business services.
· Ensure the high-quality provision of accounting and advisory services.
· Development and growth of new clients and opportunities.
· Oversee and support projects and initiatives as necessary.
· Department management and staff development ensuring employee performance and delivery.
You, the Candidate:
· ACA/ACCA qualified
· Demonstrable experience of developing successful and profitable departments or business units
· Demonstrable history of career progression in accountancy practice.
· A proven track record of developing new and profitable revenue streams.
· Technically proficient in all areas of accountancy and taxation.
· An entrepreneurial, can-do attitude to identifying and exploiting business opportunities.
· An experienced Team Leader who leads by example.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
